We put the “Fun” in fundraising, because it’s for the kids!

OFE PTA hosts two primary fundraising events throughout the school year, a Boosterthon event in the Fall and a Gala Auction in the Spring.  We also rely on the generous donations of our Community and Family Partners to support our Bobcats. 

Community and Family Partners

Community and Family Partners are businesses or families that donate money to support our students.  They help sponsor events, such as the Auction and Fall Festival and/or donate to the school directly. The Community and Family Partners receive various marketing and school event benefits depending on their level of sponsorship. 

Returning this year is the Family Partner level.  In addition to recognition on the Family Partner Banner, you will receive 2 Fall Festival wristbands, 2 early admission tickets to Auction, your PTA membership, OFE Swag, Birthday Marquee announcement and a OFE mesh tote bag (new swag this year only for Partners).  Like our Community Partnerships, it is a great way to support OFE and all of the programs that make our school special.

Fall Fundraiser

Historically, OFE has partnered with Boosterthon to run successful fall fundraisers such as Fun Run and virtual Dance Fit events.  Through Boosterthon’s platforms and the use of social media, our children are able to solicit donations from friends and family in every state in the country and all over the world! The kids love this fundraiser because they also get a chance to slime a favorite teacher or principal. 

In 2023, we are thrilled to be running an OFE Bobcat Obstacle Challenge for our Fall Fundraiser.  With the help of the Booster team, OFE PTA will be hosting an 8-day fitness and character focused fundraising campaign that ends with an exciting Obstacle Challenge for all students! The Oak Forest Bobcats will be raising funds for the school all while learning great character lessons with Booster’s new theme Grand Land Adventures! 

The fun begins on Wednesday, September 21st and the event is at Frank Black Middle School field on September 30th!

The money our kids earn funds our PTA operating budget for the year. Our budget pays for things such as:

  • Teacher Appreciation
  • Field Day
  • The Accelerated Reader Program
  • Teacher Classroom Reimbursements
  • The Reflections Art Contests
  • Fall Festival
  • Fifth Grade Parties and Ceremonies
  • and much, much more!

Spring Gala and Auction

Our spring fundraiser is a super fun, adults only Gala and Auction. Past themes have been Black & White, Mardi Gras, a Night at Studio OFE, and Havana Nights.  We have a venue with entertainment, food and an offering of live and silent auction items for bidding. We also include fan favorite “socials” hosted by OFE parents and teachers, which are fun gatherings geared at both children and adults. Parents love this fundraiser because they get to have a night on the town and cut loose with all of their friends, teachers and staff from the school.

Our Auction funds pay for special projects around the school. These are voted on by  PTA members and the School Administration based on current wants and needs. Funding requests are scored by a number of factors, most importantly, the overall benefit to our children. Click HERE for more information about OFE Auction.
