Letter from the OFE Principal

Principal Casler’s Letter

Welcome OFE Families,

We are excited to see all our Bobcats, new and returning, for the 2021-2022 school year! This year marks the first time since the spring of 2020 that we will be welcoming all our Bobcats back with us under one roof again. While last year we focused on connections to our community both virtual and face to face, having everyone together once again reminds me of a long-awaited family reunion. With this reunion, we will be focusing on our EMPOWER values as a theme and constant focal point/undercurrent that will resonate through our instruction, opportunities for students, and interactions with one another.

There is no doubt that we are in year two of a pandemic, but I am confident that using empower values as a guidepost for moving forward will allow us to meet whatever challenges may arise this year.

On a personal note, for those that I have not met, Howdy! I am Andrew Casler, and I am entering my fifth school year here at Oak Forest. I completed my undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Houston—go Coogs! —and I love to golf and barbecue in my free time. I am a proud parent of a second grade Bobcat and a three-year-old future Bobcat. My wife and I enjoy spending time with our children and two dogs, travelling, and being outdoors.

As a parent and as a faculty member I can’t overstate how grateful I am for our PTA. Your commitment to our community ensures that all our students are given every opportunity to grow in a nurturing environment.
